Confusion and chaos
Surrounding the storm
Everything hopeless
Escape, nevermore.

Screeches and roaring
Erupt through the sky
The fiery columns
With nowhere to hide.

The shadowy silence
The thundering rain
The lightning that shatters
The darkness
And pain.

The Moonrise

I'm proud to be an outcast
But I'm proud to lead the fight
For though the dark is rising
We will always see the light.

I'm proud to lose my body
But I'm proud to lift my eyes
For though the pain is sharper
We will always break the ties.

I'm proud to sweat and suffer
But I'm proud to stand up tall
For though the others stumble
We will always break their fall.

I'm proud to watch the moonrise
But I'm proud to end the day
For though the season's over
We will always find a way.

Different Now

I didn't know he blocked the light
And kept it going just for him
It should have ended long before
The memories faded fast and dim

But that's different now,
Those curses gone,
The way he lied to start-
Whenever I look back I say
It's better we're apart.

The laughter shared with you,
When we first met I never thought
Someday you'd have me too

Our friendship strong,
The way you were my guide-

You saw me fall and heaved me up
Because you fell akin.
Everything changed in those few days
Through the pain we felt within.

Sing me a love song
Sing me to sleep
Sing until reality
is better than my dreams

Sing to me quietly
a tender whisper in my ear
Sing a song with meaning
that I will forever hold dear

Sing to me fondly
say you love me with song
Sing to me passionately
it's been far too long

Sing to me bravely
I don't care how you sound
Sing to me softly
and watch my heart pound

Sing with love
Sing until I feel as beautiful
as the brilliant stars above.

I Cried

The first time you ran away
I cried
Because it happened before
And I wasn't there
At your side

The first time I remembered my past
I cried
Because you hadn't been there
Through all the pain and tears
I was alone...

The first time they told me

Because the future was mine
With everything I would become
I thought I couldn't ask for anything more

The first time I held your hand
I cried
For your suffering
And your strength
The strength I'd need to live

I cried
Because it hit me
The long road ahead
How everything would change

My tears fell on your

No One Can

The pain
It's twisting me
The dryness of my lips catching on my teeth
My throbbing heart crunches inside my chest
Pressure clenching and squeezing my skull
My body convulsing
But no one can help me.

There's rust inside my muscles
With every motion it scrapes
And the flesh slowly rips
The scent of thickened blood in the air
It hits me as I gasp for breath
I'm hacking and frothing
But no one can help me.

I lie unmoving
But the pain doesn't stop
Embers singeing bare skin
Needles stabbing deep into my eyes
Dark tears etch cuts on my face
The electric shock
And I cry out in agony
But no one can help me.

Brighter Than the Spotlight

The downbeat starts the show
And every time we turn a page,
You're louder than the music
For your smile fills the stage.

The melody is playing
And the beauty may befall,
You're closer than the audience
For your face can move the hall.

The song begins right now
And with the other actors gone,
You're brighter than the spotlight
For your eyes keep beaming on.

I never hear the words
Because the figure there is you...
You're stronger than the curtain
For your voice just shines right through.

I have only been to the ocean twice... it was mostly rainy and story and really sucked, the Second time it was magnificent!! beautiful weather, Amazing warm water! haha but i would love to see the ocean look like this! And that was a beautiful poem! =] ya mind if i use it?!?!
